En vrac

Ce matin le réveil a été très dur. D'autant plus dur que les vacances se profilent et qu'il faut encore tenir le coup jusque là... Grosses chaleurs, grosses fatigues et la tête en vrac !

C'est l'occasion de se regarder quelques belles illustrations de David Mack, dessinateur de comic books américain. J'adore son coup de crayon affirmé et ses belles aquarelles.

Waking up this morning was very hard. Especially hard as the holidays are looming and that we must hold out until then ... Very hot, very tired and the head in bulk!

It's the occasion to look at some beautiful illustrations by David Mack, an American comic books designer. I love his work, draughts and beautiful watercolors.











Et voici ci-dessous le comics dans lequel j'ai découvert David Mack pour la première fois.
C'était tellement différent des dessinateurs de super-héro habituels, si délicat et décalé.. Je suis tombée sous le charme et depuis, je peux même acheter des recueils pour la beauté de l'illustration et non l'attrait pour l'histoire !
(Il n'en demeure pas moins que cette histoire de Daredevil est très belle car onirique et elle traite intelligemment du besoin de projection)

And here below the comics in which I discovered David Mack for the first time.
He was so different from the usual superhero designers, so delicate and quirky .. I fell in love and now, I can even buy books for the beauty of the illustration and not the appeal of the story!
(The fact remains that this story of Daredevil is beautiful because it gives a smart description of dream of the need for projection)

Hellfest 2011 - Ambiance...

Hellfest 2011 – Thin Lizzy : Hard rock old school

Je n'ai pas pu faire autant de photos de groupes que ce que j'aurais souhaité. Il fallait patienter derrière des barrières pendant près d'une heure pour les groupes qui passaient sur les grandes scènes, et comme les concerts enchaînaient, forcément, on en rate...

Sinon, une fois dans l'espace réservé aux photographes, on avait une seule chanson pour shooter. Un peu draconien et difficile comme conditions mais intéressant en terme de challenge !

Voici donc les photos du concert de Thin Lizzy, groupe de hard rock irlandais qui a débuté dans les années 70 (pas avec cette formation exacte bien sûr !)

I could'nt do as many group shots as I wanted. For groups on key stages, we had to wait behind barriers for almost an hour, and with all concerts in the same time on four stages, we missed a lot of shoots...

Otherwise, once in the special area for photographers, we had to shoot one single song only. A bit draconian and difficult conditions, but interesting in terms of challenge!

Here are the pictures from the Thin Lizzy, Irish hard rock band that began in the '70s (not exactly with these musicians of course!)

Hellfest 2011 – UFO : Papy poseurs !

Voici UFO, groupe de hard rock anglais. Plus tout jeunes, mais toujours du pep's !
Papy rockers vraiment poseurs ! Admirez les mimiques ! Si ça, ce n'est pas du show...

Hellfest 2011 - Rob Zombie !

Voici les premières photos prises au Hellfest, à Clisson près de Nantes.
J'y suis allée cette année pour la première fois, histoire de voir !

Le festival se tient sur 3 jours et rassemble près de 75 000 personnes pour 118 groupes de metal : du hard-rock old school au hardcore.

Here are the first pictures taken at the Hellfest Festival in Clisson, near the city of Nantes.

I went this year for the first time, just to have a look! The festival is held over three days with approximately 75 000 people for 118 metal bands: from hard rock to old school hardcore music.



J'ai un peu galéré à faire mes photos, c'était la première fois que je testais le open-air, aux coudes à coudes avec les autres photographes...

Ci-dessous, la première série dédiée à Rob Zombie, géant du metal indus'...

It was a bit difficult for me to take pictures, as it was the first time I was testing open-air concerts, shoulder to shoulder with other photographers ...

Série Mania - Belleville Paris 20ème

Belleville porte peut être mal son nom... C'est un lieu de passage et de mixité où la misère côtoie le trendy bobo branché. Mais croyez-moi, y travailler tous les jours ne donne pas une vision de Paris idyllique !

C'était d'ailleurs la réflexion que je me suis faite en regardant le dernier film de Woody Allen, "Minuit à Paris". Les beaux quartiers, le luxe, sont bien sûr largement représentés dans la capitale, mais on oublie toujours trop vite les quartiers moins glamour !

Et pourtant, c'est ça aussi Paris !

Belleville is maybe misnamed ... It is a mix of transit and where poverty is alongside chic and trendy. But believe me, working every day there doesn't give an idyllic vision of Paris!

That's exactly what I thought ​​while watching the latest film by Woody Allen : "Midnight in Paris". Uptown, luxury, are of course well represented in the capital, but we always forget too quickly the less glamorous neighborhoods! Yet that's also Paris!







Le boucher, figure emblématique du quartier, avec les tâches de sang que l'on devine sur son tablier... Ce qu'il y a de bien aussi à Belleville, c'est le street-art.
Petit exemple ci-dessous.

The butcher, a leading figure in the neighborhood, with blood stains which one guesses on her apron ... The street-art is nice too in Belleville.

Red is not dead

C'est à la fois amusant et rassurant de voir que l'on aime toujours les mêmes choses au fil du temps. Sauf que l'on ne s'en rend pas forcément compte consciemment et qu'on croit renouveler sa garde robe avec quelque chose d'utile, que l'on n'a pas encore, et en fait...

La preuve avec cette jupe. Je l'ai achetée récemment chez Sandro. Et oh, bizarre, j'avais un T shirt presque exactement dans le même ton ! Du coup, ils vont bien ensemble, forcément.

Y a-t-il un déterminisme des goûts vestimentaires ? ;-)

It is both fun and reassuring to see that we love the same things over the years. Except that we don't see it consciously : we believe to renew our wardrobes with something new and useful, and indeed ...

The proof with this skirt. I bought it recently at Sandro. And oh, weird, I had a T shirt almost exactly the same tone! They work well together, obviously.

Is there a determinism of taste in clothing? ;-)
